Just soliciting opinions on these.

AE Hinsdale

I need a pair of brown bluchers for year-round wear with chinos (and maybe with a jacket and wool trousers), and the #8 last fits me fairly well.

That is now my favourite allen edmonds outside of the seven line. Great looking shoe.

It's so hard to tell from AE's pictures what it really really looks like, but I'd definitely look at those. They look nice!

Could you wear this with a suit? I know bluchers aren't preferred here but they seem pretty dressy to me.

Zappos has better (or at least more) photos. Not bad, but seems like, as with so many other AE shoes, that it would look much better as a balmoral than a derby.

I like Hinsdale but not going to get it since I already have a mclain and a chester. Saw new pairs on ebay.

After a bit of research, I see it's on the 8 last, but is it the old 8 last or the newer one?

Edited to note that I've discovered it's the "new" 8, although people on AAAC have commented that it fits wider than other 8-lasted shoes.

Thanks to the AE sale, I now have all 3. I need to give up my Chesters, they are beat to crap, and I don't think they make them anymore.
