Looks good. I ordered the same pair and color. Should be getting them any day now.

I dig the mocha color. This may be my next AE.

I'm so sick of the last elitists. Give me a break. (My apologies if I misinterpreted this post.) OP - beautiful shoes.

These are definitely going to be my next shoe purchase. I saw them on Amazon for around $150.

+1. These shoes look great. Sleek lasts aren't always better.

It's all subjective, but for some reason I look at "normal" lasts as somewhat frumpy now. I have a pair of shoes that it hurts to wear, because they're even wider in silhouette than this last. That's not to say these aren't of high quality; they appear to be of high quality. It's the aesthetic that gets me nowadays.

I can see your point but I wouldn't say that the Drydens look frumpy. I wouldn't consider them sleek by any strech but they aren't particularly wide IMO.

True. They're somewhere in the middle. Maybe I just correlate broguing with a more fashion-forward design, which suggests a sleeker last would be more appropriate? I could be completely wrong on this. It's just my intuition.

As I have posted before, I am a fan of AE for the money. And lately they're coming up with some good looking designs though this one is not a particular fav.

Unfortunately- I'm concerned about the recent obvious cost-cutting moves after I inspected a few pairs at a shop this week. I hope to hear how these hold up for you. Chief concerns I have:

No more leather insole- it's synthetic (and black...)
sloppy/uneven sole stitching
Rubber heels (not a biggie but these looked rather cheap- not Vibrams)
Some crooked top-stitching

I saw some very nice shoes too- but a couple have given me pause.
