Dear members, Recently I bought a deep red/light burgundy menoufi brushed pair of pants by Loro Piana. I would like to know what kind of shoes, shirts and sweaters would make an ideal combination. What do you personally think of this colour in general? Please see the picture below. I hope to hear from you, Mike

I'd go first for shades of brown. Black would also work.

Just stay away from matching with pinks and reds. Other than that, I think the possibilities are endless.

Don`t just stick to sweaters and try to match the pants with some of your sports jackets too.

I am thinking charcoal grey odd coat, with a very dark grey or black turtleneck. Certainly browns could work particularly if they had a rust or burgundy color in the fabric.

Perry

Also this could be a wonderful sweater pairing with many colorful sweaters in predominantly black, grey or brown with some burgundy woven in.

Yes, many items could work with that. Probably the best without a jacket is an argyle sweater. What's above the waist should be bolder than the pants.

+1 on black shoes. this is one case where black will look better than brown since the contrast will be more complimentary than the muddled effect a brown shoe could cause (unless it were a very dark espresso brown)

that's a great color on the trouser, lots of potential for some sharp looks
