I think if the Westbourne came in a darker brown I think it would be the one

I love SF. Man wants to add one or two C&J's, and will leave much poorer when all the recommendations come in

(which is why I haven't asked an open-ended question yet....but I'm still poorer since August 2008 anyways)

ps - Weymouth, if you're still considering medallions

Whew, I just checked and they don't have my size. My bank accounts can take no more of their recent treatment! That is my next shoe though..

It's been cut from the catalogs of the Internet retailers, so you'll have to hunt around for closeouts or--gasp--pay retail.

Given that, I was just looking at what Ben Silver calls the "Westminster" brogue. It's a half brogue (no wingtip), but it's a handgrade.

Lol, true but if you are limiting yourself to just dark brown with no medallion, than the best two would be the Audley and Lowndes IMO

Have you considered brown suede? The C&J Belgrade in Polo suede looks great

Easy, diamond cutter. Just looking out for you. Personally, I find I am a full size smaller in UK, but I know some people are only a half. In any event, it's too bad for me that the Tavistock is only available in 12 because I'd probably buy it otherwise. Beautiful shoe. Second on my C&J list behind the Albany.

The whole size run was available a month ago. The 12s are just the last ones left. Not that this does you any good. Maybe you could add it to the "near misses" thread.

Audley in dark brown if you want to go handgrade?...otherwise Westbourne (although it is chestnut) may work.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I cannot find on the C&J website or the 08-09 catalogue any reference to a re-soling service. Does C&J provide this service for worn shoes and if so how much?

The Westminster is an old Benchgrade model, superseded by the Westfield.

Last time I asked, full refurbishment was around GBP 80-90.
