Advice on three button sport coat

Hello gentlemen,
I recently thrifted the following Zegna sport coat in great condition. However, as I’ve never owned any three button jackets before I’d like to read your thoughts, i.e. is it passable or is it a 90s abomination. The jacket fits fairly well but I’ll need to have the collar lowered and sleeves shortened and wanted honest opinions before I spend the money.

The way it fits looks like it is a size too big but has been taken in at the waist. Are are shoulders too big. They look it, but perhaps that is your size. As the sleeves are wearable I would wear it a while and only spend on alterations if you still like it.
