Advice on this Zegna tweed sportcoat?

Hi all, I was looking at this tweed sportcoat and was thinking about buying it. As you can tell, it's a heavy tweed that's black, gray and white. The fabric is super 100's from Zegna. I don't own any tweed and admit that I don't have a real eye for it. As such, can you please provide your overall thoughts on it and whether it would be appropriate for a young professional? Can something like this ever be dressed down with jeans, or is this a pretty conservative look? Anything inspiring or interesting about this item? I'm a young urban professional in my mid-20's, and I tend to prefer modern (or timeless) looks. Looking forward to hearing your opinions on this jacket and whether it might be suitable for me -- thanks in advance.

Tweed is perfect for dressing down due to the texture. I'm not a huge fan of that color personally for my light skin tone, but I like Zegna harringbone tweed fabric in general. I'm having a harris tweed jacket made right now to dress up and down. You might like that too. I'm 26 by the way so I understand where you are coming from.

This is the picture I took to my tailor to make with narrower lapels and shoulders. It’s going to be my version of Mafoofan!

Looks like its a good quality jacket. I'm not sure if it would suit your needs however.

Tweed in general is great because you can dress it up or down depending on your needs. That specific jacket looks like it may be a little harder to dress down than other tweed jackets though. But that's just my humble opinion. Again, very nice jacket.

The one you selected is old school classic. No matter what you pair it with it will make more of a traditional statement.

If you are looking to make more of a stylish statement than a subtle trad statement then I would pass on this and look for another. There are many more interesting colors of tweed as well as jackets that have a more shaped fit if you want to kick it up a few notches.

Hey guys, I realize this post is a little overdue, but just wanted to say thanks for the feedback. I ended up buying the sportcoat -- I realize it's not so "fashion forward," but I wouldn't mind having something more traditional in my wardrobe for business dinners and the like. It is an older Zegna jacket, but I figure for $100, it was probably worth it. I can post more pictures once I receive the item.
