picked up some Allen Edmond grayson loafers awhile back in Merlot... (burgundy) Been wanting some for awhile...LOVE them. Heres my question....what color of belt do you wear with them? Im on the lookout for a burgundy belt and the problem will be solved. but until then, is a brown or black acceptable? Today im wearing them with light tan trousers and a brown belt.

whaddya think?

Dark brown is fine, a lighter shade is pushing it, chestnut or welnut is too light, but obviously burgundy is preferred for a dress belt. For casual wear, pretty much anything in a ribbon.
