Advice on new suit

Stopped by Saks yesterday to find they were having a sale. Looked around and picked up a few things, including this suit. While it fits perfectly, and do enjoy the fabric, it isn't my usual style. I own mostly double vent notch, this is a single vent peak. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this suit for me, such as construction (half / full canvas), fabric type, how versatile / fashionable, how good of a deal (paid ~$1400), etc. Thanks.

Certainly not, you can keep the thing. You above all must know why on earth you have spent your money if you cannot answer those basic questions yourself.

Looks like a Zegna label. Someone here will know. I kind of agree you should have found out before you purchased it, but either way don't worry so much. You like it right?

Its a Zegna label. This is a Gucci suit right? Should be full canvassed, and it looks like a good all round suit.

Thanks for the replies. I do like it, but I just wanted to make sure it was worth the price and wasn't going "out of style" or anything of the like. It is a Gucci, and I figured, worse come to worse, I could always return it.

I Don't think its gonna go out of style, theres nothing about it to really go out to style tbh. Its not super slim or short, the lapels aren't super thing or massively wide, it just looks like a suit. The only thing is the 5 button cuffs but then again that is the Gucci/Tom Ford signature.

It's fine as a suit, but it looks too loose on you. Needs to be taken in a bit IMO.

Do you really need to dissect all aspects of your suit?
