I've recently bought a similar style jacket (with those two pockets on the chest, kind of looks military) from zaras, but its brown and cotton instead ( i can take a picture if needed). It was $150 and I was thinking about returning it to get this one. I've been kind of indecisive about this so I was seeing if anyone could help me.

Do the two pockets on the blazer make it look too trendy? I'm 21 and a college student, so I could probably wear anything, but I was wondering if this style would still look like a classic. Also, what are other alternatives? I'm looking for a versatile blazer that could be worn with casually or a little semi formal like the one i linked here.

It's a classic look, but not one you can dress up. It's purely country gamekeeper unless you're dressing it way down.

Try looking at the Brooks Brothers website to get a feel for what's really a classic. You won't buy anything there, but you'll at least have an idea for what to look for at trendier stores.

The idea of the style is good, but the execution is meh.

I bet you can do better.

It's tough to tell whether the cut is a bit off or whether it's just badly shot on the model.

If you cruise Ebay, there's a ton of used Harris Tweed blazers which regularly go for $20-$30. A nice two-button style without huge lapels would be very nice.

Either way, it's clear that Urban's copywriting knows no depths. I mean, did they really pay someone to write: "You'll be looking for Sylvester, 'cause this jacket is tweedy!"

I hope you like safari's, because that's what you'll look like you've dressed for.

That is definitely not a blazer. Between the sleeve cuffs and the double breast pockets, it's not a sportcoat either. I would call that a field jacket.

As others have noted, you won't be able to dress this up.

I would be a bit concerned about the material if I were you. Look at how stiffly the back of the collar stands up and away from the model's neck. These cheap third-world-manufactured garments are often made from coarse, crappy materials that are stiff as cardboard.
