Hello gents,
I know there are countless threads here for slim fit suits and the like, but I'd like your advice on my situation.
I have purchased a few suits before hand at Club Monaco (The Wright fit) and decided to move up in the game of suits. And (shock) I decided to go into the Hugo Boss store in Harry Rosen in Pacific Centre. Needless to say, I liked one suit, and the SA told me they could get it altered to my specifications.
Two weeks later, I went to pick it up, and lo-and behold the pants weren't even hemmed. A week later I went to pick it up and the jacket was still too big, the pants too long. I took it back and the tailor said she couldn't do anything about it because it was already altered and if I wanted a true slim look, I should have gotten the MTM suit house brand at Rosen.
Needless to say, I was peeved at ended up talking to a manager and getting a refund.
Now, I'm without a suit and wanted to know - should I indulge in a MTM suit from Rosen? And will it give me a more slim look? Or should I venture somewhere else, like Brooks Brothers for the slim suit or Z Zegna? I'm looking to spend 1200 max.
I'm 6'1, 158lbs. Usually a 36R jacket and 29/30 waist...
