I need to upgrade my wardrobe. I haven't had to wear suits much in the past several years, but am needing to do so much more often these days. I need to get a few. I went shopping yesterday and decided to stop in the Neiman Marcus that happened to be on my way (with no intention of buying there). However, I tried on an Armani Collezioni suit that looked at felt really nice but was far more expensive than I want to pay. I wasn't looking for Armani. The salesman suggested it and I tried it on. I think the sale price was about $1,200.

    I'm about 6'1" and 180 pounds, the suit was a 42R.

I checked on ebay and found several listings for the same brand and size suit. Some are used and I would expect have had some slight alterations done to them.

I've never bought a suit on ebay so am hesitant, but the significant price difference compared with new makes me at least interested. And, I did like the suit I tried on.

So, I'm looking for any helpful advice, suggestions and things to think about. Will all the Armani Collezioni 42R suits fit pretty similarly to the one that I tried on or will there be significant differences in size and fit even within the same brand/model? How can I be sure it's an authentic suit and not a fake? I would assume that some of the sellers (i.e. ones with over 1,000 feedbacks and over 99% positive) can be trusted.

Thanks for any help and advice.
