A reference for the old dudes.
SR websites tend not to have pricing info, but the info is not a secret either, so if anyone cares to quench my curiosity?
3,200 gbp excl. VAT
So ~4,960 USD. Thanks.
So I'm guessing an SC would be ~3,800 or so... I just assume 3/4 of suit price.
Looking forward to updates. It's good to see a variety of different cuts in this forum (and personally, I'm not a massive fan of the relaxed, soft-shoulder jackets we see lots of on here, so am especially interested).
ET knows the prices of every single bespoke operation of note -- from Cifonelli, through A & S to RA.
Four is standard. I get two only when I have flapped lower pockets and lapels on the waistcoat (mostly from keeping it too cluttered)
Good luck. Everyone says great things about RA
I have heard this. I am not sure why, exactly, people say this though it may stem from Huntsman's rough patch about ten years back. Neither house appears to be cutting exactly along tho hold Colin Hammick lines, which would if followed strictly, frankly, look a little weird these days.
I use Huntsman and am curious to see how this project turns out. The cut is certainly different from my other SR suits (and certainly from NSM), so I am curious to see how this more-Huntsman project finishes.
two piece or three-piece?
The inimitable Colin Hammick.
The first seems to look different from present day Huntsman and RA.
the first shows well the classic Hammick Huntsman look. The current version, at least mine, is very similar except less stretched (I.e., it is shorter). The trousers are very different though my current suit, a 3P SB in the Navy Hammick Mohair, will be more similar.
Quote:I've discovered a little secret that seems to have escaped the majority of our membership. Rather than typing up multiple posts asking members for pricing info, one can simply copy-and-paste the same enquiry to the bespoke tailors themselves. And voila!
Another neat trick is to simply call them
Quote:In all seriousness, that's not a good idea for a US client. They're often hurried on the phone and confuse prices incl. / excl. VAT. Some of the salespeople who man the phones also have no clue what CMT is, so can't even offer that information.
I have Huntsman replicating the first look for me now. It has wider lapels and a slightly wider but more tapered leg.
Or one could use the thread in the clothing forum about that SR maker that you're already on, and get a response easily and more quickly. There can hardly be more valid uses of the forum.
God knows the turn around time on an email to these guys. Come on, get serious.
My obvious agitation is due to the fact that when I asked, I referenced how they don't have it on their site, and I obviously knew full well that I could get in touch with them. This is no "little secret" and it has not "escaped me," I just prefer the more expedient means that this forum is well suited to provide.
Richard Anderson, Maurice Sedwell and Steed have been pretty prompt with me via email. Turnaround usually within a day if not less. Budd and NSM can take a little longer. Have you tried contacting them before?
