I have a couple of jackets that I would like to add vents to.

Is this recommended? Is it an expensive job?

It is impossible.

There was a thread about 'adding vents' several month ago.

Go to the very bottom of this page and you will find links to at least one.

Does anybody know if vents can be extended. I have some short vent jackets I had made and I think they would drape better if they were like 3 inches longer. Is this possible?

There will not be cloth above the vent. It could be pieced in but that is a hassle.
