Adding lapel buttonholes

I would like to add two buttonholes to the lapels of a double-breasted dinner jacket that inexplicably has none. The jacket is fairly nice, but for some strange reason there are no butonholes. Not even closed ones. The lapels are completely bare, and I find myself unable to wear a flower. Is adding these buttonholes a fairly simple procedure? I would hate to see the satin facing ruined; does anyone have suggestions where in New York City this could be done for a reasonable price? Finally, how much should I expect to pay for this?

I would assume a similar price to having working sleeve buttonholes done. From what I've read here, usually around $10-15 per hole (handmade). You can check the NYC tailors thread or do a search for 'working buttonholes'.
