Does anyone have any experience with coated jeans? I picked up a pair of coated raw Chymalas a little while ago and I'm wondering how they will age in comparison to regular raw jeans. Will the coating eventually wear off? Will the jeans still get honeycombs and whiskering like a typical raw jean would or will the coating keep that from happening? Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'm not sure if it's the same but I have a pair of Nudies Thin Finns in "Dry Black Coated" and the coating actually looks a shinier with wear. Mine almost look like leather at this point but I've never had an issue with coating coming off or wearing out. You still get the same honeycombs and fading that a normal raw denim has but it might take longer to really see the wear.

i've had a pair of j lindeberg black jeans with black wax overdye
looked like leather pants when i got em much like nudies
the coating did wear off as i had them for a long time and washed them numerous times in the washing machine
i find that anything with overdye will wash off sooner or later
just hand wash or soak in cold water and wash rarely to preserve coating
they do take longer to break in
