Anyone have any pics of Acorn's Yellow Oxford shirting in the wild? The shade of yellow appears to be very dark on Acorn's website.

Thanks,

Don't do it, yellow is blah - even if Manton's a fran.

I don't, sorry. But if you ask nicely I'm sure they'll send you a swatch.

I want a yellow and white university stripe. I think Philips Boyne will be getting them soon, too.

I have a very old yellow royal oxford from acorn that is quite tame. But it was made around 11 years ago.

I like it for oxford, trad classic. I have a yellowish/cream cotton-linen that is also nice. My two other yellows don't get worn any more.

I've found that acorn's colors vary between fabrics even in the same line. Like, for example, the "sky sail" oxford [with widely spaced white stripes] is a different color blue than the plain "sky" oxford. So be careful comparing colors. The only way to know for sure is to get a swatch.

Oh, right. If you want a paler yellow oxford I believe Philips Boyne has one, called (IIRC) "maize." Maybe I have the names wrong. But I know they have two yellows, anyway.

^ Thanks guys - may just ask them for a swatch and wait. I have a shirt from their pink oxford, and its nowhere as dark as on-screen.

I'm with Manton on the yellow - I think its a classic color for a BD. I have a couple of rust / burnt orange colored sportcoats that it should go well with.
