I know some around here thinks that Styleforum is the end all and be all of style and fashion.

On Saturday (March 14) I was at my tailor Pat Scioli (Philadelphia) around 1pm, and saw this guy who was in a well-fitted french cuff shirt (striped I think) with nice cufflinks, nice jeans and I believe black double monkstrap with a nice shine. Over all this he had on a well-fitted charcoal gray overcoat and .....get this... pocketsquare in the breast pocket!

I thought he was very well turned out, but not wanting to be mistaken as something I'm clearly not, did not stop to offer a compliment.

I am curious if the guy is a member here.

IF you read this PM me or respond here. I'm just interested in knowing other folks who live around here. No ulterior motives, not selling anything.

Was he wearing a covert coat with a red velvet collar?

A french cuff shirt and jeans? Very questionable. Perhaps he's an AAAC member instead.

AAAC? They are much more formal than here so I'd thought it would be a no-no.

I stand corrected. I believe the Craigslist term is 'Missed Connections'.

It's rather hard to bump into people who don't include their faces in the WAYWN pictures. Although I have bumped into the member Barims once in London, but he's fairly hard to miss.

Bumped into a few (that I already knew) at Saks during the sales or in front of Paul Stuart. Saw another walk in front of my window another time, far from his own neighborhood.

The easy joke of course is that mafoofan is MUCH too short to appear at the level of the window from an onlooker inside and thus it could not have been him.... but that would be too easy...
