I did know a pair of brothers named Chris and Drew Peacock. Not "Christopher" and not "Andrew", just "Chris Peacock" and "Drew Peacock" were their full names. (If it's not registering, say the names out loud and imagine the scene at attendance on the first day of seventh-grade. Poor bastards.)

I have one that tops every name mentioned. But I have to preface it first.

In the small villages of Guatemala, the Maya indians are obviously not educated but try to name their children after famous people. I was at the baptism of a boy named:

Hitler Billy-Graham (I forget the last name).

I'm not even joking. I just wanted to jump up there and tell them to change it, but theres really nothing a person can do in that situation.

One imagines there is a lot of comic potential in that.

Well...I was on an Airtran flight last year and when the introduced the cabin crew, one poor stewardess was named, "LaTrina."

It was right after the head stewardess had indicated where the restrooms were.

I saw a kid in the paper named Anakin. I felt a mixture of pity for him and anger at his parents for thinking that was an appropriate name for their child.

Hong Kong is the World Capital of terrible English names...most names here are self given rather than government names. Parents won't give their kids an English name most of the time so the kid somewhere along the line adopts one for himself.

- I have beef with people naming themselves things like "Jack" and "Joe" as their official name. Not John or Joseph, but literally people will go by these nicknames as official names.
- People adopting Japanese names when they're Chinese...a C-list celeb who was recently caught up in a fiasco where his wife was cheating on him with two other dudes, i found out he named his son "Yohji"...i wonder how he came about with that. I don't even think i've ever seen him in YY. And I don't think "Yohji" is really a common name in this generation anyway. Also girls who name themselves "Kawaii". LAME.
- People comin up with names that are just off the wall as what...Kennix? In the upcoming Miss HK Pageant there's some wackass names...there's a girl named "Decem", and this other slutty girl whose name is Edelweiss. Weak.

but the name that takes the cake in this whole thread has got to be Moon Unit Zappa.
