About to buy Alden Medallion Toe on Copley Last, Should I?

I can get them from Alden for $255 on the Copley last, any reason why I shouldnt? Can't find C&J Westfields in tan.

ive seen the westfields in tan, and they are amazing. do a search for the westfields, someone on the board has them. im pretty sure i saw them in the plal book for last year.

Viewed the 913 in tan today & it comes with a black sole edge. Yuck.

So that's out. C&J said the Westfield in tan is discontinued so I'm hoping Plal has a pair in my size left in stock.

I'm so getting the Westfields in tobacco suede! what a beautiful shoe. Good luck with finding some tans. Edit: Just saw trojanman's sale. I almost cried when I saw they were one size too big

i would think these both are in entirely different genres of shoes, the copley last although relatively less gunboatish than their regular fare like barrie, i would still place it a gunboat compared to the C&J. so dont substitute for the latter with the alden if you wanted a certain look.

I have found the C&J Westfields in a 12E and in TAN! Just waiting for my Finsbury to arrive so I can double check the fit before I shell out $370.

I have ruled out the Alden shoe because of the black sole edge which I think was a bad idea on such a light shade shoe.
