Abominable Suit Color?

Hey guys,

I was asked to help someone pick a suit for his wedding. He sent me pictures of a suit that he liked and on my smartphone the color looked completely fine to me. But now that I've looked at the photo on my laptop to give him advice about what kinds of shirts and ties would go well with it, the color of this suit (which he has already bought...) seems like a total abomination.

Is there any hope? If any of you have an idea how this suit may be salvaged, I'd be very grateful. Ugh...

P.S. I think he's already had it altered and I'm trying to convince him to get another one (I've even offered paying for it), but he's kinda stubborn.

Hey, thanks for replying! Unfortunately, I don't think it is navy...it looks lighter than navy. I've been looking at blue suits for hours now and I haven't been able to find the same color elsewhere

Anchor it with some dark shoes and the right tie and I think it'll be fine.

Red or blue tie would work fine if he is wearing a white shirt. Black shoes.

Solid, or close to it, and on the darker side is fine.

Why are you looking for blue shirts? White shirt dude.

It doesn't look like he has on a proper shirt in that pic. I know it may be shopped...but he should try that jacket with a proper shirt and the pants with proper shoes.

And the suit color is fine.
