Abaca (Manila hemp/wool blend--any experience??

I'm considering a Boglioli abaca/wool blend blazer in a jacquard weave (coarse & highly textured). Manila hemp or abaca was once used for hemp ropes as well as some finer textured fibers used in fabrics. Does anyone have any experience with Manila hemp in blends and its hand and drape? On the face of it it seems unpromising, but the photo of the blazer looks pretty good.
