I have just spent a few days in Sweden, so I took the opportunity to visit shoemaker Jan-Erik (Janne) Melkersson (a well regarded member of the forum). Janne is not only a highly accomplished shoemaker, but also one of the nicest men around.

He and his family have been living and working for the last year down south in Stockholm, but they have decided to move back north again (later this month). So when I came to visit, most of his workshop had been boxed-up, ready for the move.

I nevertheless got to see these two beauties: a full-brogue Derby and a galosh oxford with crocodile quarters (I'm using English shoe terminology).

I took a few pictures, as I hope some of the members here will enjoy Janne's work

Janne is moving back to Hackås (or maybe the next village) in mid-Sweden.
The new house is just a mile or two away from the old one.

His e-mail and (cell) phone listed will not change.

Sorry, misread your initial post. Either way, they're magnificent looking shoes. I wish I had them, too
