Let's take a step back through time to 2009, when ever-controversial poster Mafoofan entered Esquire's "Best Dressed Real Man" contest. Sure the prize eventually went to some tool who wore Ralph Lauren rugbys over double-layered buttondown shirts (ugh), but one of the finalists eventually drifted our way and traded in his Banana Republic for high-end bespoke.
I'm talking about, of course, Epaulet's best customer: NewYorkIslander (formerly NewYorkRanger).
Let's take a look at three of his recent -- and great -- fits.
Too cool. Very stylish teacher and a great heavyweight winter look with muted colors and thick fabrics. I also like the very minor contrast between the jacket and pants.
A streetwear look. Yes, the tie is a it questionable (also the number of layers), but props for the combination of like ten en vogue brands - LL Bean mocs, Wings + Horns hoodie, Wolf vs. Goat shirt.
The cardigan and the bespoke overcoat speak for themselves. Too goddamn dope.
