Besides, it might actually work in your favour.

Hot women are SOOOO used to guys telling them that they are hot. In fact they're so used to it that they EXPECT it. So if you said somebody else it hotter, this generally makes the actual hot one jealous.

So unless you're completely socially awkward, you can probably spin it into your favour and just make a joke out of it. Keep calling the best looking ones "number 2", "number 3" etc

Back in my younger years, we used to sit on this wall outside a nightclub every single night. Anyhow, don't know why I just remembered a 15 year old story, but to the OP, the answer is simple, tell them to rank the personality of all the guys you know, and laugh and tell them if you finish any higher than last then you know you've earned your stripes. Then move on.

Great story, worth clicking on this thread for. I can totally picture that happening. In the days when I was less diplomatic, I can see myself doing that.

You are super lucky. Because the list was based on personality and not on looks. People care a lot more about how you see them lookswise than personality-wise.

Your out for the low-ranked ones: "I guess I just don't know you well enough so I ranked you lower than Jenny who is like my best friend. We can work on that." or something similarly gay.

The other option is to say "whatever, don't be so sensitive" and play it off cool. Then just continue acting nice/funny around them or whatnot, and after a while it will be forgotten.

Also, your friends are huge douchebags for going public with the info.

Dont ever mention it and dont ever apologize or accept responsibility if brought up. Serious. And make sure you play it off if its brought up:
"I heard you ranked us, wtf!"
"The rankings were based on the megan fox scale, duh. And besides, Id gladly smash any of you givin the opportunity. And Sarah, just cause you were ranked last youd still be a solid 8 based on my scale" or something like that

Just rambling though, I cant believe this is really an issue.
