Happy Friday Eve! The shoe that started it all, burgundy shell Cambridge.

Nailed the dimple today! Some days and fabrics/lengths are better than others.

Navy grenadine grossa today
View attachment 1645912

Next order I'm getting a navy grenadine. Not sure what weave yet... Reminds me of Goldfinger with Connery.

David also has a beautiful light blue grenadine that I love as well.

What is that jacket, it's great!?

Love the silver grenadine, such a great summer tie. Bonus points for the box check and Aldens!

Thank you!! It's such a great tie. Haven't seen one like it anywhere in the wild.

I struggle with patterns to wear on a tie with this shirt. It's really a classic shirt, but the box checks always confound me.

Maybe a large pattern paisley or Macclesfield? Obviously a solid works.

A pin dot or small pattern Macclesfield would work I think. But solid ties are underrated, or so I concluded a few months ago and have been trying since to beef up my solid tie choices

I agree, was thinking pindot as well. I also think a larger repp stripe would work. An emblematic would work as well.

I was thinking about the small Macclesfield... I guess it's all about scale. What about the pin dot I posted yesterday? Would that work with the box check?

I've always had this pull towards patterned ties (feel like I'm getting my monies' worth LOL), but I need to get some more solids. They really are versatile on many fronts.

Heck I just need a few dozen more ties in general!! :)

I promise not to post more photos of this tie … until next summer!

Can't promise you I won't be posting this tie again sometime soon! Mogador is really a neat tie.
And today the chocolate grenadine

Oh yeah! Nice pairing, bitter chocolate?

Does David sell emblematics?

I have a large repp stripe.. The stripe and check would've not make me pull that one out (thinking it was busy), but I think you're right it would work.
