Thanks...I thought so but wasn't sure since no one really sees the flared tip.

Unless you count "get more respect from the SF circlejerk" as a practical purpose :tounge:

That's what I base all of my important decisions on :thumbs-up:

But to get back on topic, I eagerly await the day Mr. Hober gets the the forest green back in fina grenadine :D

David, how are you finishing the ends of the silk scarves? Knotted fringe would be nice.

I have the forest green in grossa and it's a beautiful tie...I receive tons of compliments!! And I love the the texture on the grossa better than the fina.

Oh that's just mean :). That's a gorgeous color and weave David.

Achilles_ The grossa weave is really outstanding. I have both the grossa and fina and I also think I like the grossa weave better.

OK I'm going to try and make my point that which is better depends on the jacket with pictures this time...swatches are color #10. First up, a sharkskin suit jacket, I think the fina works significantly better:

Now two jackets with coarser textures...I think the grossa balances that and the fina looks a tad dainty next to them:

^ good pics and nice analysis. I have a general preference for the daintiness of the fina, but can definitely see why folks love the grossa and why it often provides the better match.

I'm the same. Just love the fina for some reason.

Glad to hear it - it struck me that this fabric would work well as a scarf. I have a double thickness Macclesfield silk scarf and it gets lots of compliments.

+1, great color and not something you will see often. One of my favorites.
