With respect to all the tie width discussion, I prefer 3.375". That said, you all are on the right thread because David will make your tie however wide you like. :nodding:

Nice 'fit, sir.

This is a great example of a tie I would never think of buying seeing it on the website, but realizing how useful it could be when seen in context. This happens with squares for me all the time: seeing one alone on a table or on a website, I don't know how it work and pass on it, but seeing it in use, it looks great.

Thank you sir. Totally agree that pics help...we need more!:)

I feel exactly the same way. Pinkpanther's tie/outfit combo will do this to you. I've purchased many ties that I thought I could never use just by viewing his posts. He has a great eye for ties and outfits and you can't go wrong following his leads.

Glad I could help.

Attended a wedding this past weekend … crappy pics, great tie!

B&W Shepard's Check … my first Sam Hober … LOVE IT!!

Really, really nice. :slayer:

Always wondered if I should get that (Shepard check), or the black and white houndstooth. (Seems too similar//same color scheme to get both)

When in doubt I error on the side of...both. :nodding:

6''4", 275lbs. My Hobers are 3 1/2", but I have some Canalis that are around 4", and while they may overpower a lesser man, I feel they're still within proportion for me.

Got any pics of an jacket-less 3.5 in tie that you happen to like?

Do not take off your jacket when you are wearing a tie unless you will faint from heat exhaustion otherwise.

I am quite young (< 25) so I have not been around for pre-skinny tie fashion era's so I have trouble understanding tie widths bigger than 3.25.

It is never too early to grow up.

By which I mean, try 3.25".
