I wasn't home when UPS tried to deliver my ties today [IMG] but I got an e-mail from David saying he had shipped my order on October 30th.

Thanks...I received a notice from the post office Thursday and picked up my ties yesterday. I'm at a loss for words to describe how impressed I am with the quality and beauty of the ties and packaging. Will post pics tomorrow.

David should win an award for packaging and presentation...even the tape on the shipping box is cut and applied with the care you would normally reserve for an important birthday or Christmas gift.

And the shipping box is great to store ties when traveling.

I take I'm not the only one that keeps the boxes.

I ordered 2 Grenadine Garza Grossa ties, one in forest green and the other in bitter chocolate. Both ties are standard 4 fold construction, 3.5 inches (9cm) wide, and 57 inches in length. The ties come very nicely wrapped in tissue paper and a plastic tie sleeve. I cannot say enough about the quality and workmanship of these ties. I'm already trying to determine what ties to order next. I'm a customer for life!!

Those Madders are spectacular, just begging for a tweed on a fall day.

Thanks, I think so too. They are both the Atkinsons Irish Poplin and I am extra fortunate in that the fabric is even better than I had imagined. And of course they are beautifully made like all of his ties.

    Thanks David!

Received my first Hober tie last night and needless to say, it is absolutely stellar. I got a 6-fold #11 navy in the Grossa Grenadine. Is it crazy to get a #10 dark navy in the Fina grenadine as well? Just by putting the swatches next to jackets I own, there really is a big difference in how well they pair. The bigger pattern jackets (maybe pattern is the wrong word here - but the wide herringbones, tweeds, houndstooth, etc.) seem to go much better with the grossa, whereas the finer patterns like birdseye and sharkskin look better with the fina. Crazy to order two ties so similar?

Too many navy/dark blue ties? Too many grenadines? Never! I've got three navy/dark blue grenadine ties, and can always come up with an excuse for buying another.
