1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'm looking specifically at the charcoal. I'm UK based so no need to send swatch, but thanks for the offer. I cannot see the black warp in PP's recent navy cashmere tie pic, so it's probably similar with the charcoal.

Time to get going with my order. Will be black and bitter chocolate prometeo, possibly that charcoal cashmere and this madder (no 13), that I think will be a killer spring tie (light lining, untipped)

Are there many pics of Prometeo in the wild out there? I find Grossa to be too chunky for me -- Piccola grenadine is pretty much the perfect tie silk, I think -- but am still curious about Prometeo.

^ Prometeo is even chunkier than grossa (though just barely), so if you don't like the latter, you probably won't like the former, either. Personally, I like all of the grenadine weaves and enjoy a mix in my tie collection.

^^ What Flyswatter said. Also, you could try Fina if you want to experiment with another weave as it is less "chunky" than Piccola.

    Very nice choices p.henrik! :nodding:

I don't have the charcoal cashmere black warp, I do have the alpaca and posted this pic about a month ago or so. Might give you an idea of how the black shows up against a lighter color.

^^ I'm liking that tie the more and more I see it. The online pictures are not nearly as nice.
