1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I totally forgot about Andy from Ask Andy, I spent a few minutes chatting with him while we were both looking over Alex Kabbaz's presentation of wares, very nice gentleman, I don't frequent that forum often so I dont know much about him.

Norcal are you the dapper young man with the U-Throat Martegani's ? I didn't manage to get the screen names of the people I met.

Were you there when Chuck tried on a few pairs of Vass ?
He looked really sharp in a Cognac U-Last wingtip.

It was indeed a wonderful event, and my thanks to all the organizers for putting together this unique show. It was obvious that a lot of hard work went into hosting the 'Collective', and they are all very nice people to boot. That being said, my only question is, when's the next one?? [IMG] My regards to all the members (and non-members) I happened to run into on Saturday afternoon--it was a pleasure meeting all of you. Some pics I took can be found using the link below: http://img174.exs.cx/gal.php?g=P1020206.jpg&cols=6

redtree, I was the Asian guy in the casual blazer and rust/burgundy colored V-neck sweater. Actually, I had your ID confused with another...I think there was a cherrytree who periodically posted awhile back and shared his experiences regarding a few of the Saville Row firms. Geez Chuck, I feel bad, we never took that picture of your tie display. I bet it even looked better under natural lighting. Same goes for Darren's fabric swatches. Cheers, NCT

Gents, sounds like a great time. I especially like the idea of old Alex cutting collars and Darren patiently explaining various details of fit (or ill-fit) on your suit. I'd love to take one of my Press suits to him. What a wonderful opportunity for education.

For two, brief days, a hotel suite in the Regency was turned into a mini-department store.

Although it was smack in the middle of Manhattan's luxury retail district, this store on the 25th floor became the city's finest and most exclusive mens store. I heard that the managers of Bergdorf's and Barneys breathed a collective sigh of relief at 6:00 pm when the show ended.

Good show, Andy, Darren, Alex, Gabor, and Chuck.

Those pictures were better than any pornography. Why must I be trapped in Canada? So far away from what was the satorial center of the world for a brief weekend...

If I do manage to make it to the next one, should I wear a ski mask?

I think it's a Nintendo Game & Watch. I'll even venture to say it's the "Donkey Kong" game... If not, its sure looks like one. MtB

Yeah, it's some old video game thing. Hell if I know for sure, though. The guy in the picture isn't me.

What a great event. It was a pleasure to actually meet members of the Forum. The event was more successful than we had imagined so the downside was not having time to talk to you all in more detail.

And I think I actually missed seeing some of you. Next time.

Thanks to Alex for his organizational skills, the vendors, and all of you who took time to show up.

Was that pricing only good at the show? Is that offer still valid?

You can get the shoes at those prices ONLY IF you e-mail your order to info@vass-shoes.com BEFORE Tuesday (3/8) night. Make sure that you mention the event and that you include your contact information so that Gabor can reach you.
