A Ranking of Clothing Formality

I am sure we can all agree that evening wear ranks above dinner wear in formality, but how about from there on down? Granted, the basis of this discussion omit variables that are of (some) importance, but would you agree with this basic formality ranking? What then of the tielessly worn light linen suit?
