Stumbled upon this vintage Polo Ralph Lauren leather wallet-esque item.

The front has their classic Polo player embroidery on a leather envelope with 4 corner pieces to hold what I assume is a passport.

Am I right?
If so, does it have a name? I can’t find a single thing like it anywhere!

Seems more like an index card jotter thing. Doesn't it hold 3x5 cards, half an inch smaller than passports? I'm still not sure what the most accepted term is.

Thank you so much!

I think you’re exactly right with this guess, and with more research it is commonly referred to as “jotter”, “pocket jotter”, or “pocket briefcase”. Unfortunately, even knowing what it is now, I can’t find another like it!

Card jotters aren't common, but not rare either. Do you have that one, or saw it online? I've never seen that style, or Polo branded. The two I've bought are metal corners, one Dunhill marked lizard, and the other some brown leather. I've passed on one similar when the leather of the card holding end was torn. These are both ends all the way across, not just corners. I should've bought one even though it had a tag punched through the fabric and card backed part.

Pocket briefcase is what Levenger calls theirs. Scully and Hartmann have had jotters too.

I think I've seen smaller ones, but that's not worth it.
