I've always wondered, what are those gold colored numbers on the outside of the shoe? It's the one thing I kind of don't like about CP's. I'm assuming it's the model number, but why the heck did they put it on the outside of the shoe for? It kind of ruins the clean sneaker type look that Common Projects has, to all of the sudden see a bunch of gold lettering on the side of the sneakers.

Because otherwise, they're pretty unassuming, minimalist, generic sneakers. how else are you gonna tell people you spent $350+ on sneakers if you don't have an obnoxious logo to advertise it?

But it's not really a logo lol, at least it's not as recognizable as "Gucci" or "LV" logos are.

If I wasn't a fashion freak (just like most of us on here) and didn't know about CP's (which the majority of people don't), I wouldn't think some guy paid $350+ for his sneakers because of the gold lettering on it.

I don't like it, but that's just me. It looks cleaner without the lettering.

u can remove the numbering, i think some people just use rubbing alcohol to take it off, i prefer it left on

it doesnt have to be obvious to everyone to be considered a logo/branding

It has information about the model and the size (which is really useful when looking at **** online).
