In my experience, whatever "creases" that may be left over from the way your jeans were folded should disappear fairly quickly. After a week or two, probably. Certainly not something to worry about, and they'll be long gone by the time you wash.

I got my first pair of new standards last week and I'm wondering how long before the creases down the sides should start disappearing with regular wear? I've been wearing them every day for ~5 days now and I can still see the creases when I take them off. I guess I'm just afraid that when I do finally soak them the creases will show.

this is kind of what i was getting at above. this is what i want mine to look like. i've been wearing the shit out of them for months, washed them probably 4 times, and they're still a really dark blue. anything special to get that fade besides age?

Takes a wholeeeee lot of washings, not even to mention wear to get to that point.

that's kind of a relief. i don't want them to be that light for awhile...i'm enjoying how dark they are. i'm enjoying wearing them in, but i don't want the color to fade that drastically all that fast.

what's best to keep the color? should i dry clean instead of washing them when it is finally time to clean them?

    Just got my petit standards....

question about APC denim stretching. does it stretch in the seat as well? I sized down 2, and the waist is pretty good right now in terms of being snug, but not ball-busting. The seat is fairly tight though, where it makes it tough to pull the jeans up when I'm putting them on. I hope this is not a permanent condition. I've heard of the waist stretching, and the thighs, so I'm assuming the seat/ass area is no different?
