[IMG]These are my indigo wash new standards. they are my favourite jean but have stretched since i took this picture. i can pull them off without undoing top button and without a belt they fall down, but love the shape and comfort. I want to get a pair of the Raw indigo new standards, the ones in the pic are 31, but as i said they stretched a bit and i dont know the nature of the indigo denim, excpet that it comes out bigger. should i therefor get a 30 or 29 in the raw NS. if i get the 29, which i can imagine will start off really tight on the thigh and groin, and i may not even be able to button up, will they stretch enough. i like a casual, but smart fit, and really comfy. what would you do [IMG]

I finally got around to trying some APC New Standards and... what's with only having one inseam length??? For high quality jeans, I was fully expecting to have different sizes. Sorry, but a 28x36 is simply ridiculous on me.

How do other people deal with it? Do you cuff them, or do you tailor them to your length? Or do you just have a ton of wrinkled-up denim around your ankles?

so it turns out that on looking closer the jeans i am wearing in the photo are actually called cure on the tag. can someone explain the difference between cure and new standards. i think i should have got a 30 in the ones im wearing, so thas does mean i should size down when going to raw denim. ie does raw denim come out larger than the pre washed denim

    cheers

masterpp, go to http://apc.fr/us/en/homme_jeans.php. Just put your mouse over each jean, and it has a description of the jeans.

I was just wondreing if it would be useful/pratical for LA Guy to create on the first post a table detailing each APC size, along with 1) initial measurements (waist, hips, front/back rise, mid-thigh, knee, leg opening, and inseam), and 2) stretched measurments.

For me, it's a little difficult to imagine the "size 2 down for normal", "size 1 down for baggy" thing... I need numbers, and I know they are scattered about on this page. When a member buys a new pair, they can post their measurements, and LA Guy can update the first post accordingly. Or create a new post, and make it a sticky?

    Useful or too much work?

    I haven't measured I guess, but there's no way my 29s have a 36" inseam.

Erm, I would do it if someone sent me every size and I got to heep a couple of pairs. Sure, easy enough to do... Actually, I think that the Denim Bar website will have measurements for various jeans when it goes live.

I'm not going through the entire thread looking for measurements, but if someone wants to, they can PM me the list, and I will change the initial post.

So, to answer your question, both useful and too much work.

I measured my 29", which are falling off loose on me at this point, when I first got them, and the inseam was 34". Sizes smaller than 30 seem to have smaller inseams, which makes sense.

For a given size, I would say the New Cures.

Size down to a 28 in the raw denim.

I, too, am contemplating a pair of NS, and am thinking of going with a 30. I wear a 32 in old PDC, a 31 in Nudie RR/SS, a 32 in Acne Mic and a 32 in ES Fulton. All jeans described here are dry besides the PDC, and all were a bit tight in the waist when I got them and have stretched a bit (not too much since I don't wear that many times before the first wash). Does the 30 sound about right?

For a given size, I would say the New Cures.

Would you say it's comfortable to wear? One thing that I notice with skinny jeans or at least for me is that when I sit down, I can really feel the tightness near my "area". It's a little uncomfortable and makes me wonder if I should go a size bigger.
