ya the NS and the NC are definitely different enough to have both. NC is much thinner. www.hyrcollective.com

I was wondering if I could get a recommendation on A.P.C. dry denim jeans sizing as there are no stores in my city that carry the A.P.C. line.

I took some measurements and came up with:

    45" around at navel level
41" around about 2" below navel (under gut)

    (wooooo fat)

I also took a pair of current just barely closing jeans and laid them on the floor with the button closed and measured the waist from left to right and came out with 17 3/4" - 18".

I was looking at the New Standard as I'd like a slightly tapered leg as opposed to a completely straight leg in the Rescue's.

    Thanks for the help!

Just got my NSs, I'm usually a size 31-32, and I got them in a 28...The fit in the legs is exactly what I wanted, but I can't quite button all the buttons--I knew this would be an issue and I figure that with time I'll get a god deal of stretch, but I'm wondering if there is any other way for me to stretch these puppies--

I'm thinking if I get the top block wet and put something hard in over night, I should get a fair amount of stretching in?

Yeah that would work I guess, something like a block of wood that stretches the waist. But to be honest I don't think you need to do anything in particular, I was surprised at how much (and how quickly) my NS stretched just sitting around the house in them.

Sounds good, I'm just waiting to be able to wear them outside (at this point, walking around with my pants unbuttoned doesn't make sense)

Tell them that you're ordering from styleforum, and mention that you're getting them in the denim bar thread before you order.

I wet those NSs I was talking about and finally got all the buttons up, now it's time to wear the fuck out of them

They're definitely a value but you need to do a LOT of research about the sizing/stretching if you go with them for your first.

Can someone with a size 28 or 29 new standard please please measure their knee and hem for me? I'd very much appreciate it.
