Just saw this at the h(y)r collective site. Cool stuff. I'd been planning on copping the Generic Surplus boatshoes, but these look a whole lot nicer.

Also, some quick googling revealed this. Not too many of the photos are of the menswear (not really sure how I feel about the letter jacket piece), but god, I wish I knew more girls who looked/dressed like APC models.

Those derbies are nice. The only problems I have with APC shoes are the shoddy construction and sometimes the boyish aesthetic is too pervasive (unless you're under 20).

I'd just reccommend sperry topsiders authentic original. I bet you can't find anything under $500 dollars that beats the quality.

Sebagos are pretty much the same thing as sperry and about the same price. Not any better, but pretty much the same thing. Sperrys aren't anything special. They hold up pretty well construction wise, but the leather looks (is) pretty mediocre and cheap

Yeah true about the leather, but it really depends on the color you get.

Yeah. So for boat shoes in that price range, which do you prefer? The leather on Sebagos seems nicer (based on internet pictures), but Sperrys come in more colorways. Decisions, decisions.

Sebagos i've seen in lots of colors. I wear my navy blue sperrys that are pretty beat up all the time. I mean, it depends on the aesthetic/look you're going for i guess. Sperrys are fine. Sperry/sebago leather isn't really that nice but whatever. Quoddys and Rogues Gallery (made by quoddy) have really nice leather but are about $180(maybe more these days).

There are still a few models of the BoO x Sperry spring 2008 that i want, as well as black patent sperrys.
