A.P.C. New Cure question

I've recently bought a pair of used size 26 New Cures. When putting them on, they are very tight and I am not able to button up the top two buttons. The previous owner had them for about a year, and they were worn frequently. I am wondering if I will still be able to work them in to suit MY body, or if they are already stretched out/worked in as much as possible. It'd be great if I could do them up!

Thanks

This is the wrong forum for this--there's an entire thread dedicated to APC denim in the SW&D forum. But the short answer--based on my experience with New Standards that I've had for a couple of years and only washed once--is that if they've been worn frequently, meaning at least a couple times a week or more for a year--then they've stretched as much as they're going to stretch.

Secondly, what size was the guy you bought them from? If they were tight on him when he got them, then they've definitely stretched as much as they're going to.

Thirdly, even when you first get APC raw denim, you should be able to button them better than you can. Not being able to even button the top two buttons at all means they're too tight. You gotta at least be able to button them all the way up to start, IMO, even if really uncomfortable, or else you need to size up.

you won't be able to stretch them further.
