Thanks for setting this up; it was nice to meet you all and have some great beer as well.
I'm Ben, on the left, in the navy DB blazer.
I'm next to Ben, in the hat. Â
I'm the 4th guy from the right of Dakota, just peeking over Nightowl. It was a good time, cool meeting everyone, hope to see more people come out next time. Eric
Thanks to everyone who attended and made it a fun evening. Â (How late were you guys out, anyways?) Â Special thanks to Chris for pushing the idea and to Nick for organizing. Â I know there are at least an additional 5-6 regular to semi-regular SF posters who live in the DC area. Â I look forward to meeting those who were unable to make Friday's dinner at future get-togethers.
To answer PeterMetro's question, the SF members in the last photograph are, from left to right (usernames in parentheses):
Ben (hopkins_student), Nick (modsquad), Chris (me), Chris (nightowl6261), Eric (Eric), Adrian (scnupe7), John (Mr. Checks), and Neil (RJMan).
It was great fun to meet everyone -- glad to meet fellow DC posters and hope we can do something similar again sometime, esp with those of us who could not make it.
i had no idea you guys were meeting up. did anyone try to organize an l.a. meeting i was unaware of? hopkins, now i understand why you want to live in pasadena.
I think it would be interesting for meetings to be held in other cities and for those pictures to be posted. I am curious to see the difference in clothes in the different cities.
Notice the conservative (but very nice clothes) of D.C.; my guess is that you would not see the same styles worn to a L.A., NYC, or European gathering. Just a thought.....
Careful there GQ Lawyer, speaking only for myself, I had gone straight from work to the restaurant. If I had time to change you would have seen some funky shit. That being said, I also dress very conservatively at times and everyone was dressed very nice.
I would like to say that I thought everyones shoes very standout to me, if only because I'm still stuck with square toed chuckers at the moment and was impressed with everyone elses shoes. I have disliked my old shoes for a while now, but after that night I have been pushed over the edge and I'm gonna have to get some decent shoes when I have the spare cash.
How so? When I get to LA we'll have to have al LA get together.
I don't think I was dressed conservatively.
you have more of a pasadena look (blonde hair, navy blazer). if you walk around like that in echo park you're asking for trouble. congratulations on usc, you'll love it there.
A SF gathering around NYC would be pretty cool. There seems to be a greater spread in ages and incomes though... still, I wouldn't mind meeting the people behind their screen names. So far, I think I've met around 5-6 people in person, split between the two forums.
Maybe at SF NYC meeting at OldSkool's massage parlor?
who is this guy? Â he looks like Michael Jace from The Shield.
Separate names with a comma.
