I need a watch with a brown strap to go with my brown leather goods; perhaps yellow gold.

I have other more expensive watches, none of which with a brown strap. However with this I don't want to spend more than 3-5 thousand pounds.

I quite like the below, I belive that Duhilll did make a similar watch with a different face, it had a small wheel on the side; but I could not find it.

Could you elaborate?

I feel having a 3rd party strap on a watch like a Patek or Vacheron is not going to do it justice.

There are much, much nicer bands around than those used by Patek or Vacheron.

There's also the issue of the strap in question going well with the watch. I suggested a Lange 1815 Manual wind which should work well.

Exactly, and having one watch with two straps is not that versatile.

Interesting. And I would have thought the opposite.

but a simple dress watch in rose gold that is similar to the Lange 1815 would be the discontinued IWC 3531 Small Portuguese. It is 35mm diameter and runs about US$4500-US$5000.

I have a few fine watches myself and always prefer OEM straps, but there are aftermarket straps that exceed the originals' quality. Some collectors always put aftermarket straps on in order to save the originals in like-new condition. If you are at all proficient, strap changing can be reduced to a 3 minute procedure.

Yes. One more thing: Leatherstraps are basically consumables. They eventually get worn out, no matter who the mfg is. Unless we are talking metal, kevlar et.c.

That's wonderful, do you still have it?

Hmm the watch you posted was a Lange 1, not a Lange 1815.
