Good evening everyone. I am not sure the correct method for posting links, or pictures... but I was hoping to ask you all what you thought of these cufflinks. I particularly like Cartier, and I found a pair of cufflinks there I really liked tonight. I was wondering your thoughts and perhaps any other suggestions.

This particular pair is called Origami, and in that spirit is a design of a boat and a plane folded in an origami pattern. They're a bit pricy, but this is for a special occasion so I wanted to spend a bit more on this pair than usual.

here's a real noob/ignorant question, why are cufflinks so expensive? With a relatively low amount of engineering involved, what makes these items so expensive especially if they dont use any precious stones?

I do like these oragami cufflinks tho, apart from the price.

I honestly think they are so expensive just because of the brand often times. Although, even some cheaper brands like Express for instance can still cost about $100 for a pair... I can't put my finger on it, but something has endeared me to these origami links.

Well the cufflinks are very nice and unique. If you like them I'd say go for it.
