I've read through some of the older, related posts, but still not seeing the answer I'm looking for........

Are there any suit-makers in Houston that have raw fabrics ON-SITE ?

...and they will measure, cut, and assemble the suit IN-HOUSE ? (essentially bespoke)

I want people who know their craft, and it sounds like Nick Lopez is the only one.
Does he have raw fabrics on-site, and does he assemble the suits himself, (and/or staff) ?

An additional question: If I purchase my own raw fabrics elsewhere, and bring them in, will Nick work with them.

Thanks,
Chrisanova ~

Hank has fabrics on site and does tailoring on site. He has access to a broad range of other materials from his swatch book. The shop is named Orlin on Westheimer near Voss.

Anecdotally, (I have yet to have Nick make my first suit, though he does an extensive amount of tailoring for me), he is the best option in Houston. I introduced a well known SFer to Nick and I believe he agrees that Nick has the chops. Nick has bolts of fabric on site, but more importantly he has rows and rows of books from which you can choose among the best fabrics. He is personally involved with every phase of construction. In fact, you'll often find him at his cutting table in the very front of his shop next to the window because he insists that natural light is best for cutting. It's not all rosy, some staff members are better than others in his place, but I'll definitely be commissioning my first suit with him.

Unfortunately, they prefer not to work with fabric brought in as they deem it a "quality control" issue. I don't really buy that, but that's what he says.

Good luck.

Festari for Men is also a well-known and respected clothier in Houston. Located on the prestigious Post Oak Boulevard, they have built a great following throughout 25 years of existence. Here you will find traditional bespoke tailoring with close attention to detail and total personalization. Custom shirts, trousers, sport coats, belts, and of course suits are all on the menu. Plenty of fabrics in house to chose from and their master tailor can turn a suit around in less than week under special circumstances.
