Hi to everyone!

I am 21 and I´m in my last year in college, and starting to improve my wardrove, I would like to know which sportcoat would be a good investment to buy first (I dont have any), what colors do you recomend? any extra help would be very apreciated.

BTW I live in Argentina, so... we have springtime here

Thanks.

I was taught that the first item in a gentleman's wardrobe is a year-round blue blazer (sport coat). It goes with everything.

I'd get a simple but elegant navy blazer that's lightweight enough to wear all year. If you're in BsAs you should have no problem finding one. I remember seeing a few nice shops near the end of Florida that had great stuff, as well as rgeat shops all over Recoleta and Palermo. There's also no shortage of great tailors there, so I'd be tempted to have one made.

Suerte!

navy blazer/sportcoat. end of discussion. rl is a good recommendation. for classic, never going to go out of style (and well made), they have 2 single breasted and 1 double breasted navy jackets on the website right now. use "RLFA2008" though Oct. 6th to get 30% off. $700+ isn't a deal by any means, but if you need it now, you could do a lot worse. If you would prefer a more modern silhouette, there is also a RL Black Label version as well (albeit more expensive). I'd also suggest the forum's own thick as thieves. Here is link to the navy sportcoat Jason/thick as thieves made for me when I was in a similar situation needing a first good sportcoat. Jason posts here as GetSmart. you might try hickeystyle.com. lastly, try ebay as well.
