With one order in for the cognac shell/suede, how are you going to go about the change to a different leather combination? Do people who have put money down have to approve?

This is a classic example of the complexity of working by committee.

    Too many cooks....

It's a tough thing in an open forum.

Seems like the thing to do is to put a configuration up for purchase and then 'hold forth' until it is determined that the particular config is a winner or not.

As a method of not driving the fine folks running these offers into total insanity I suggest that they would be well advised to run a set limit of offers at a time.

NAMOR, who if I am not mistaken is the person with the first slot, was also the individual who suggested the pebble shaft alternative (my apologies if I am incorrect). It is complex but hopefully a concensus will be achieved. For me, this is acceptable since for me, the actual MTO is still business class to my coach :)

That Wigmore is oh so sexy. You could win any and every argument if you used that thing as a comparison. For example, I was expecting a horizontal line but the Wigmore has me wavering (lol)

    Miller Pebble/Shell Boot

Lower Leather: Dark Cognac Shell Cordovan
    Pebble Grain Shaft: Dark Brown?
Sole Material - AS Exclusive Oak Bark Channeled Leather

I'm not a big fan of eye-popping contrast but yet again, I havent seen too many AS pebble grain colors. Open to various pebble leather colors

I going for the suede combo al la the EG Shannon that is so commonly shown on balmoral boot threads.

If you took the leap with the first order and the sense is that the pebble grain has the following, then I say go with it. I'll hold off and see where the order goes.

Perhaps AFPS should not post the MTO with a set makeup, but that would be kind of pointless done that way. I imagine that 99% of the business on this would come through the forum anyway.

lol, if i was making this on my own, i would be losing sleep over specific details like leather, outsole, etc. However with a group MTO, the challenge is more about getting 6 people than getting the make-up you want. I would liken the process to making sausage..

I would liken the group MTO process to herding cats.
