Speaking of sechs, I had this amazing dream last night about AFPOS. I saw the Miller boot ready and it looked awesome. I counted 7 pairs and each one of them had a brown outsole that glistened like a pool of melted chocolate. They looked so good that I wanted to put them in between a graham cracker and melted marshmallow. I just remembered the dream and looked in the shoe closet but Hershey's chocolatey deliciousness was no where to be found :(

    Julian or Sarah,

Can you provide an update on the status of the MTO Ramsey?

It appears that some orders have been delivered. I'm still waiting for mine.

My apologies, the rest of the mto should be ready this week from the factory and we will contact you as soon as they reach us.

For the next mto delivery, we will make sure we wait for the whole order to be with us first before contacting all the members.

    They are looking fantastic!

I'd be interested in the Keats on a Handgrade Last in an interesting color like Oxblood (color #4) cordovan or perhaps this Whiskey below.

Next MTO Ramsey in Navy cordovan?

I am interested in light tan; what EG calls Acorn, C&J Beige, G&G Maple. I do not know if AS has an equivalent of that color.

We could go for another Miller of course.

    Any other suggestions?

If you're looking for ideas and didn't see my posts on these recent mto's from AS, here they are: Carroll loafers w/o the tassel and made to exclusive standards [IMG] Modified Holburn boot in shell cordovan, with an extra 2-3 inches of height and a bellows tongue for increased water resistance [IMG] More pics in the AS handgrade pic thread. I love them both and if funds allowed, I'd get the the boots in black shell and the loafers in brown suede and black calf (no medallion). Maybe in a year or three.

Thanks R. It was about a year. But three things caused the delays: 1. my vacillation in boot design, 2. a shortage of cognac shell (as you know in this thread), and 3. a huge order placed before the shell arrived and I settled on a design that had to be finished. I think 3-6 months is the norm. Certainly was for previous orders.

    Guys,

Does AS have light tan leather color similar to EG Acorn?
Anybody else interested in another boot MTO?

The Ramesy in Navy Cordovan would be great as long as we could get it on a hand grade last like the 19. I think 19 looks very similar to the regular 99 last of the Ramsey and allows for more width options for SFer (myself included).

The Alex in a dark Cordovan like Cigar or a dark brown calf would be nice (again on a Handgrade last like the 48 which is quite close to the 724 to my eye) . I'm not sure I could be convinced to go for black unfortunately.

The keats is also a great looking shoe. I'd prefer something a little darker than #4 maybe like ravello shell? If it still exists?

S only uses 4 colors of shell: burgundy, whiskey, cognac, & black. Daydream accordingly.
