E-mail Sarah and Julian through the site. They have helped me with sizing for my 5 pairs of AS I've bought through them across 4 different lasts. None have gone wrong.

Excellent! My new pair of AS armfields reached me in less than a week after payment.
Their reply via email/forum is prompt, tried their best to assist in sizing and of course the patience they have in dealing with fussy clients like me with alot of requests. Everything i requested was fulfilled. Highly recommended

    X - Post:

Maybe somebody can help here - just received my new pair of AS Armfields in black. They are possibly one of the nicest plain captoes I have ever seen from any RTW brand.

Anyways my question is about the sizing of the 109 last. I am in between a brannock US 11 D/C width, with what I consider a lower then normal instep.

So, now that I've tried in these Armfields, it feels as if they are about 3mm longer then the AS 724 last, also with what I consider a pretty generous instep. I can close the lacing (obviously lacing my shoes tightly as possible) all of the way through, with just a slight 1/4" gap at the very top. There is a slight bit of heel slippage too. I know some say the slipping subsides after the soles are broken in.

I'm worried that after 1 or 2 wears the footbed will break in and the instep will be way too roomy causing these shoes to be unwearable.

Am I just being paranoid? I can't imagine I'd have to size all the way down to a 9UK from a US 11.

Hi MGD83, good question. Each half size down is 4.2mm smaller in length and approx 1-2 mm in width, so it sounds like dropping half a size in the 109 last would look after your feet shape well.

Is the 109 roomier then the 724 last? I've read that most here have always went with the same size on the 109 and the 724.

yes, most of us take the same size in 109 and 724. I even find 724's instep is higher.
