1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'm still a fan of the punched cap toe burgundy shell oxford - it would go well with the soft chisel of the 48 last. If more contemporary, how about an austerity brogue spectator in black and grey, or (slightly faded) black and light navy?

Received my pair of AS Ramsey's in whiskey cordovan shell. My first pair of DM's and my first pair of AS shoes. Wow! Truly a gorgeous shoe at an excellent price, and Sarah was a joy to deal with. Thanks AFPOS!

Yes, Journeyman, out of the 25 pairs I have, 11 pairs are brown! It's just most of my black shoes are cap toes so I can do a like for like thread. :D

Received my shoes this past Thursday. Picked up two pairs of Armfields (one for the little brother).

Top notch service from the lovely Ms. Nelson. Pleasure doing business with!

Cross post from the AS thread:

Awaiting mine. Curious what others find to be good compliments for the whiskey shell in terms of fabric and color of pants.

Just received my AFPOS jodhpurs and chelseas.
The jods are nice, as expected, but the chelseas are way nicer in person than I was expecting.

I got to try them on to ensure fit and then wifey whisked them away to be hidden until Christmas.
I'm really looking forward to wearing them.

Thanks! Your Black Cap Toe Oxford thread and the AFPOS sale made this purchase a no-brainer.

I'm looking forward to breaking these in, and finding out where they'll take me in the years to come.

Now, to teach little bro how not to step in it, so to speak...

Very nice! The Jamie looks familiar, but for the grain…

As mentioned, I'd like that loafer in black calfskin and w/o a medallion for wear w/ anything from jeans to a tux. The model is well suited for suede too, w/ medallion imo.

I like these boots a lot already and I love what they look like with denim and casual trousers

Beautiful boots. I would wear them with light trousers though and not jeans.

Looking at the styles AFPOS has chosen, they are uniquely styled since they are not a part of the RTW line with AS. While other vendors like Herring and Bodileys have also commissioned their private lines with AS HG or Ex Grade styles, so Julian and Sarah probably will work on something that has not been done yet, or it's not currently available with another vendor.

Since I love things simple, and from an unique point of view, I recommend a austerity brogue either based on Hunt or Keats in coffee or dark oxblood.
