I needed a plain black loafer. And for $200, these are good quality.

Don't love the toe on the C&J but they aren't awful

Nice and simple, good enough for me. Look like it's similar to the Wembly [IMG]

The Wembley IIRC is on the 360 last, arguably the most elongated C&J offering - but it still has it's fans, your purchase doesn't look similar to me :embar:

But it's not the design I found questionable, more the 'bone calf' leather...

Ok, to my untrained eye they do. I am new to lasts and good shoes. If the leather is subpar, back across the pond they go. I have a few pair of C&J to compare with. They were a MTO pair.

Maybe Julian or Sarah can answer the question about bone calf leather?

I don't know. I grabbed them from the Medallion or Not thread on here. http://www.styleforum.net/t/108135/medallion-or-not/0_50

I'm interested in a pair of the AS Edgware in size 10.5F. I have some Loake Hiltons in 10.5F which are a pretty good fit. (I could maybe go a half-centimetre or so shorter in the toe). Would you say the Edgware 10.5Fs would be the right size for me? Thanks.

Just bought my first pair off the sale page and customer service was prompt, courteous and excellent.

About to order a pair of shoes... how long do you anticipate it will take to ship to the US?

It is amazingly fast...a couple of days once shipped if I remember correctly.
