@shooln, which 2 of the style are you interested in, or both?

53 is quite chiseled, it would fit the Blake better, as 48 would leave more room in toe in proportion to the medallion.

Just a bit of information on how the 2 GMTO will proceed with AFPOS approval:

With the 2 GMTOs we are organising, I know we are not going to get the 10 required just from active forum members; but the discussion in the last couple of pages allows us to take ownership on the choices that have been presented to us with the Hand Grade range.
Once we got main specifications nutted down, AFPOS will list both GMTO on their site, I am hoping for greater numbers with digital marketing from AFPOS' existing customer base. Interested parties will need to pay 50% deposit upfront, fully refundable if we don't hit the magic number of 10 within a determined time frame. Once any of the two GMTOs was deemed successful and order had been sent to the factory, the deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable to other orders, please verify your size before ordering.

I am pretty happy with the specification on the Keats
    Keats
    48 last
    Burgundy
    single leather sole

Do people want to try on 53 last on Blake?

Am interested in both, but slight preference of those 2 make-ups to the Keats. My observations were only based on similarity to 724 rather than preference. If both make-ups went to AFPOS for marketing I'd put a deposit for the Keats, but would ask to switch if only the Blake had sufficient numbers for production.

I'll get on board; however, I prefer the 53 last on the Keats. Dark oak is my preference as it patinas nicely over time but I can join the majority if people prefer burgundy.

Basically, the model below (which AS has made so I'm hoping they won't have a fuss):

I prefer the 48 on Keats, and 53 on Blake.

Please provide your preferences, we will go with the majority.

How is the fit on the 53 last?

Does it allow for width at the pinky toe / ball of foot?
I usually buy Carmina Rain because of its width while still looking sleek.
Also 724 is good, but i could not wear thicker socks with that last.

Would the HG lasts work for me? It seems difficult to find descriptions of the fit, or even pictures.

53 lasts on http://alfredsargent.co.uk/handgrade-range/, both blake and keats on the 53 last.

As for fit, we will have to wait for AFPOS.

48 and 53 have grossly the same fit; toe shape is different.

All three AS handgrade lasts 19, 48 & 53 we’re developed to give a neater fitting heel cup and all three are the same in this respect. The widths of all three are very similar only allowing for the different toe shapes.

48 vs 53, I scaled it according to the metal ring, not 100% accurate.

Is it still better to take the standard F width, than the G width for the average feet?

Does the HG last fit similarly to the 99 last? As some people need to upsize .5
