I have that approximate budget and am looking to make a prudent decision. Looking for a standard blue pinstripe or charcoal or gray pinstripe suit. I don't wear suits very often but when I do wear one, quality is a priority.

    My options seem to be:

    RLPL suit from B&S
    sartoria partenopea suit from eBay
or, spend a few more hundo and get a borrelli from Shopthefinest
are there any other options I'm not considering? (not interested in BB)

    TIA

    Check ehaberdasher.com

The Benjamin Sartorial suits seem to have a good reputation.

You won't find Borrelli on STP but you will find Isaia, that may be your best bet. A great suit and well respected here on SF

Thanks for the replies. I misspoke, I actually meant STF.

I don't where you are located, but Barney's Warehouse sale in NYC has Isaia going for $999 right now. And normal patterns too, but lots of double pleated pants.

Thanks for the tip. I am in the DC/MD area, unfortunately.

Sartoria Partenopea off of Ebay is not a wise choice. I have one and the material feels flimsy

Thanks, everyone. Ed, no doubt! I am waiting around but I've recently found a couple borrelli offerings at STF that I love. It stretches my budget a bit but they look tremendous.

I just picked up a light grey two-button Tiger of Sweden suit. Cost me CAD 750 + tax. I'm a very skinny guy (5'10", 135 lbs), but their size 34 fits me well.

Hope this helps. Good luck !
